Who was president during World War I?

Woodrow Wilson was the 28th President of the United States. President Wilson served two terms from 1913 to 1921. During his first term he was able to keep the United States out of World War I. By 1917, Wilson knew this was no longer possible, and he asked Congress to declare war on Germany.
